She uses line to transform the landscape, in this case by wrapping an alley of palm trees with 500 meters of white cloth during the AADK residency in a small town of spain bearing her grandmother's name, Blanca.
Webs are built from the most basic female instinct; from nets to nests, braids and traps, they weave the links that hold the world together. Local women from the town of Blanca have donated personal fabrics to aid in the building process.
This installation repeats this winding and swaddling innate instinctual process with the intention to connect living beings to living trees in a
humble attempt to re-weave the links between man and nature. She activated the installation with a ritual gesture of sewing the personal cloths of the women of the town into the piece.
