I fixed strings over a tree and listened to its gentle sound. While playing artificial musical instruments is admirable, it doesn't encompass all the music we can appreciate. The sounds of nature have their unique spirit. I wouldn’t harm any tree to make musical instruments, instead, I embraced its original form and listened to its natural sounds. Nowadays, people are obsessed with "loud and clear" sounds because we need something even louder, clearer, and sweeter to drown out the noise around us. However, when we calm down and connect with nature, the sound of a tree is like a fine wine, and there is a spirit in its gentle sound - a nuance that cannot be heard in anything "loud and clear."
The strings express the gravitational force between the trunk and the branches through sound. This gravity represents the balance between obedience and exploration. The gliding tunes resemble the pattern of a bird's flight, where birds use gravity while also striving to break free of it. The plucking and hitting between the branches, strings, and hanging rocks harmonize with the sound of raindrops. The tenacity of a tree is that of the entire universe, and it is embodied in the portamento between the twigs.
