“Mental life space” is a site specific sculpture, made in wood and painted that marks one square meter of land that I acquired in 2015 in rural Nariño-Colombia.
The structure reminds the poles that separate properties but these ones are void in the interior approaching them to a drawing and situating the property in ambiguous condition and dimension.
In the process of legalization by the government of Colombia, there are no laws to do it because land needs to either be productive or habited in physical sense, leaving aside the option and necessity of having a mental space reflected in a physical world, that's one of the reason why in the purchase agreement it is forbidden for the owner to enter their territory by land putting the notion of property in an another field of value system.
In the other hand space is sold in the real state-market by square meters creating a possible misunderstanding and a potential develop to slide his place of enunciation to laws and find a way of exhibition in the tribunals.
