GREEN MODULAR
Il
territorio del Matese
come tutto l’Appennino
è una zona a carattere sismico e
periodicamente
tengono
strettamente salde
al suolo;
Osservando
noce: albero
robuste radici laterali alternate da radici più sottili;
La
felce aquilina: pianta
d’aquila”, provvista di un rizoma strisciante;
L’orchidea
selvatica: fiore
vuoti;
Tenendo
presenti tali aspetti ho
realizzato un progetto
con cui l’arte
diventa di pubblica utilità e
ho creato
tre moduli con cui riproduco
tre soluzioni installative
sorrette da
differenti fondazioni
utilizzabili in caso di
sisma come primo soccorso.
In
finale.
I
fase: rappresenta
le tre piante scelte con la relativa descrizione;
II
fase: riproduce le
piante circoscrivendole nella forma geometrica più adatta;
III
fase: rappresenta in
pianta e in prospettiva le tre soluzioni modulari;
IV
fase: riproduce
la soluzione scelta.
Sappiamo
a conoscenza,
Green
Modular
The
territory of the Matese as all the Apennines is a seismic area and
periodically earthquakes change the morphology of the territory. The
plants, as is known, have the ability to adapt to the areas in which
they grow by creating perfect self-sustenance systems and the roots,
which differ according to the plant, keep them firmly on the ground.
Looking
at the wildlife diversity that nature offers us spontaneously, I
analyzed in particular three native Matese plants that grow at
different heights and adapt themselves to various terrains:
The
walnut tree: a tall tree with thick foliage, with deciduous leaves
that grows solitary and whose root system is formed by a central
tap-root and strong lateral roots alternated by thinner roots
The
Fern: plant that is located near water sources, with the typical
"eagle wings" shape, provided with a creeping rhizome
The
wild orchid: flower that grows in grassy and sunny areas that
presents bulbs with small and dense roots at the base; the
peculiarity of this plant is that every part of it fits into the one
below , thanks to its conical shape .
All
three types of plants have a root system that develops mainly
horizontally and at their center they present areas where the earth
does not adhere perfectly , creating some voids.
Considering
these aspects I created a project with which art becomes of public
utility, and I created three modules with which I reproduce three
installation solutions supported by different foundations usable in
case of earthquake as first aid, and public can participate in the
construction of the installation.
The
graphic project describes the process that led me to the final
solution.
Phase
I: represents the three plants chosen with the relative description;
Phase
II: reproduces the plants by circumscribing them in the most suitable
geometric shape;
Phase
III: represents the three modular solutions in plan and perspective;
Phase
IV: reproduces the chosen solution.
We
know that in building construction the foundations must have the
characteristic of being "rigid" and we are aware, thanks to
documentation, that one of the most destructive earthquakes occurred
in the territory of Matese at the end of the nineteenth century
razed so many newly built houses at the foot of the mountain, leaving
almost intact those built on the limestone rock, that in the subsoil
has karst caves. This is one of the many reasons why we must reflect
on the need of respecting the environment by learning to observe it.
The generous nature gives us solutions that are before our eyes and
the right approach would be to stop and learn from it.
GREEN
MODULAR" is the name of the installation made with gabions
filled with waste nuts and it is an invitation to a sustainable and
respectful reconstruction of the naturalistic context of the Matese.
Therefore,
in recent years there is a growing need to listen to the nature that
surrounds us and that has long been violated; it has become a
necessary requirement that makes us rediscover the true role that
human beings have on the planet earth
