The smallish birds-Torrent Ducks: have adapted to the rigorous life of rapid river currents of icy waters. They live in the water caves/ cliffs around the fast torrents. Diving through the fast currents & searching sub-water food is an inborn skill. They have selected the tough turbulent environment as their habitat. They are naturally gifted with an aerodynamic body, strong legs, long, narrow bill, green shimmering wings with spurs to adapt, endure & strive in the difficult life style.
In my digitally drawn Painting ‘Torrential Quest’, in an early morning scene, you see a solitary duck resting on the rocks observing the currents looking for a prey. The tendrils of the early morning sun have just illuminated the currents & have also spread a heavenly golden glow on the wet rock faces. Oblivious of the beauty, serenity & opulence of the surroundings, it is yet another morning of yet another day in the daily quest for life: The Torrential Quest persists!
My Digital Graphics (Paintings): I draw my paintings by hand on Tablet using the Photoshop tools & effects. Each & every dot & line is manually drawn using the Art Pens. This is drawn in a very similar fashion as the water-colour paintings are drawn with brush on paper. The effects are same as those in water colour or better. The painting is done in many layers. This helps editing & updating during the course of completion. Once merged, the final picture emerges. The versatility & effectiveness of the Photoshop software can be used to the fullest. The actual paintings are high resolution graphics & can be displayed by showing on a Monitor / Screen, Actual Prints on Large Format printers on fine art media or by projecting on a screen.
