Ancient Greek culture and philosophy had a distinct tradition of hero worship. Due to the intricate and contradictory relationship between gods and heroes, heroes often appeared as spokespersons for the deities. Heroes held significant spiritual significance in ancient Greek drama and poetry. However, in contemporary society, the vocabulary surrounding heroes is rarely mentioned, and the spiritual meaning it encapsulates has gradually faded from people's minds.
Heidegger introduced a philosophical perspective on existence and time. In this artwork, I aim to explore the existence and dissolution of individuals within the broader context of time. The hero figure in the image has been transformed into an inverted sculpture, bearing a somewhat playful trace, no longer maintaining a solemn image. It can only be remembered by everyone through the solidity of sculpture. Beneath the image, a symbol of divinity in the form of a sculpture still stands amidst the changes of time in the modern urban jungle.
