Human mind is extremely impressionable. It is in constant interaction with the surroundings. Mostly, this is a subtle but relentless process. The things around us, visible, physical, material as well as virtual, abstract & apocryphal relating to a particular surrounding & environment continuously impact us. Our mind perceives different objects & scenes in different manners. These reflections/ impressions depend to a large extent on the state & awareness of our own mind. They are influenced greatly by our past experiences & prejudices. The perceptions, hence may be different from the reality.
My Digitally drawn painting ‘Reflections & Perceptions’ shows cloud clusters with different hues, lights & shadows in the sky in an abstract form. The reflections, though similar in some aspects, differ from the original set. The cityscape brings subjectivity & a touch of reality. The ‘eye’ epitomizes the mind processes of observations & feels translating into perceptions & reflections. A discerning mind’s ‘eye’ will help one get the real picture rather than the divergent reflections.
My Digital Graphics (Paintings): I draw my paintings by hand on Tablet computer using the Photoshop tools & effects. Each & every dot & line is manually drawn using the Art Pens & software brushes. This is drawn in a very similar fashion as the water-colour paintings are drawn with brush on paper. The effects are same as those in water colour or better. The painting is done in many layers. This helps editing & updating during the course of completion. Once merged, the final picture emerges. The versatility & effectiveness of the Photoshop software can be used to the fullest. The actual paintings are high resolution graphics & can be displayed by showing on a Monitor / Screen, Actual Prints on Large Format printers on fine art media or by projecting on a screen.
