The graphics number 8 of the series of Doule portraits is like an interlocutor to graphics no 6. In this image the person to the right makes a step aside, looking straight in her/his own direction. This action caused a split, visible on the neck of the double-figure. The dark profile is white in the middle. Is this an empty area left by the right person? Or is it light inside the profile-person? If light, if warmth, why the person to the right is escaping? I rase the question of the need for self-determination. It is present even if people are in intimate relationships. In this description, I named the persons with a double personal pronoun. I the whole series I seek differences. In some cases, it is possible to distinguish figures as male or female. But I wanted to address this series to people, make them reflect about themselves, their relations.
