MILESTONES OF VENEZUELAN CINEMA. 87 Movies, 87 Posters.
Between 1897 and 1940, Venezuelan cinema did not appeal to the film poster as a
means to advertise its cinematography. In fact, this form of visual appeal
began to gain relevance in the world film industry after the founding of the
first Venice International Film Festival on August 6, 1932.
While undertaking the task of reinterpreting and redesigning the posters of 87
milestones of the national filmography, we included those early films whose
posters never existed. We have done so as a tribute to each film and its
directors. Their inclusion obeys the determination to follow the language of
the big screen throughout the project, while aiming for a universal vision of
our cinema.
This is an unpublished project. An exhibition of unpublished posters that features motiongraphics and augmented relity.
