Collection "Passion for Adam, Eve and the Bird. How to love yourself and stop anxiety?"
Our world has plunged into the abyss of prohibitions. Pointless restrictions. Strict rules. Taboo topics. A long list of things that cannot be said or thought about.
You can fight prohibitions. You can think about them. And you can investigate those who live within these prohibitions. This is us, people. Men, women, and others.
In the collection of Michael Kaza "Passion for Adam, Eve and the Bird. How to love yourself and stop anxiety?" the entire population of the Earth is represented in the images of three characters: Adam, Eve, and the Bird. With Adam and Eve - everything is clear. These are the archetypal Man and Woman who are going through all the difficulties of being banished from Paradise.
Who is the Bird in this biblical reminiscence? The bird is a trickster and storyteller, provocateur, and observer. This "that third", which is always invisibly present in the relationship of the couple. The bird exposes the unconscious of Adam and Eve. But this is not the main thing. The Bird's sly gaze penetrates inside us. The bird looks into our heads and sees the secret mechanisms of our actions. Shows us our secret desires, fantasies, and motives.
Michael Kaza's drawings are not just aesthetic objects. It is a tool for the Practice of self-discovery for each viewer. You just need to ask yourself: what do I really feel, and what does this mean to me? And if you do that, something more than catharsis will happen. Detox will occur. Detox of the mind and release of the senses.
Artist`s statement
It would seem that the world has changed. Governments and progressive businessmen have thought-about cleansing. What will be the main news of the post-covid era? Is it clearing the planet of debris? Or waste recycling? Or maybe the construction of houses from recycled materials? Or the integration of man and nature.
However, all this is still unlikely. Because the first thing to do is heal the human mind.
Michael Kaza is an artist whose work is more than just art. This is practice. The practice of self-discovery and clearing your mind.
Kaza doesn't just look deep into the unconscious. He helps us complete the detoxification process of our minds. Through awareness, through a prick of pain or fear - to a new understanding of oneself and the world.
Kaza designs her works in the form of Polaroid photographs. And this is not only a reminder of Andy Warhol, with his poignant messages about the diseases of society.
Michael Kaza's artwork is a snapshot of the unconscious. All works are created using the technique of spontaneous drawing. Kaza creates without a plan or intention. He puts his hand on paper or a screen and allows the images to pour out directly from the unconscious.
Pictures of the unconscious artist are addressed to the unconscious of all people around him. And this is a message that can clear the mind.
For what purpose?
To perform a special kind of action. Action without which the post-covid world cannot exist. This action is Detox. Detox the mind. Detox the unconscious.
Michael Kaza's art is primarily this action. A Detox practice that opens up the opportunity to take a step into the new future of humanity.
