"Inter Nos" is a scanner-generated image, which encapsulates different areas of my research, from the (in)visibility of interpersonal boundaries, separations and connections, to the questions relating to the perception and tactility of images.
The image is printed on a sheet of laminated acrylics, whose material qualities recall the modality of its production, and enhance its cold feeling and its meaning.
The title, which can be read also on the ring in the image, is a Latin phrase which can be translates as "between us", as referring to something that joints or as something that divides. At the same time, this Latin phrase also refers to a mode of relating to one another which implies privacy and secrecy, such as on the occasion of a confession or of the communication of sacred or secret information.
