In one mood- This is a condition that all women experience periodically. Psychological mood caused by certain, regular circumstances.
History of creation.
These are real photos taken on a mobile phone from 2016 to 2019, working in the central department store in Moscow, where installations were often changed. Old and new mannequins stood on service walkways and the basement, waiting for their future fate. All photos are not staged, but a randomly captured exposition that suddenly appeared and disappeared just as quickly. And I was occasionally lucky to capture this moment.
Each time I passed by, the mannequins seemed to fascinate me, causing strange feelings and an inherent desire to capture them. Sometimes it seemed that they were specially placed in talking poses. Standing surrounded by different rubbish, they are reminiscent of modern man with an indefatigable appetite for consumption.
In all this time, more than 100 photos have been collected. A collection of 41 images in the highest possible quality printed on canvas will be presented to your attention. The collection includes original photos and a combination of colors, which was born in my imagination at first glance of the image.
The MANnequins project will s a kind of pure being without material awareness.
Mannequins are an impersonal ideal copy of a person - an accidentally captured moment of presence, here and now. They humbly portray us, having nothing, as if returning to the origins of creation. Completely naked, they read like a litmus test with the inability to hide their thoughts, showing realistic moments of our essence. They don’t need to stand out, filling a sense of emptiness and loneliness imposed by the race for utopia. Creating the illusion of its significance due to the elements of mass consumption, leading to the same type. As a result, there is a rapid loss of uniqueness and relevance. Forcing to buy again and again, further moving away from the truth of our destiny.
