I think one of the main tasks of art is to
stop time: a lifeline for a life that is always too short individually. In this
case the stimulus arose from the discovery of a forgotten roll of an analog
camera purchased at a fleamarket.
Once the film was developed, unfortunately
expired in the meantime, figures altered in color, almost incomprehensible,
appreared. so i had the idea of elaborating a possible reality based on the
story of a couple, taking pictures around the world. To create it and thus, fix
time in eternity, i drew on top of the burnt photographs what i imagined might
have happened.
