Searching for a totem animal. Сhamelion as a symbol of variability but not able to merge with the environment.

The animistic worldview that characterized the pagan world and the worldviews of many indigenous peoples to this day are, in many ways, the very opposite of the analytical worldview encoded in atomism.  In the former, the emphasis is not on analysis into parts but synthesis into wholes and oneness with the Totality. This is often expressed in felt identification with natural forces, totemic animals, and the primal instincts and drives that create, destroy, and recreate  our lives.
