"Shots of happiness" is a 40x40 cm square of small glass bottles filled with colored paints and water, fixed on transparent plexiglass support; which is illuminated by a series of led light strips fixed on another white plexiglass square platform placed underneath. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the hard times we are living, people have somehow lost their happiness. My concept was to create a series of objects that would put some joy into their daily workspace. "Shots of happiness" is the first of this series, the idea behind this lighting installation is to put some "light" into these dark times and to add some colors to our grey days. The colors represent diversity, hope, fun, joy. They almost suggest the viewer take a sip, a sip of happiness, a sip of hope, a sip of fun. It is a reminder of all the fun that we had, and that we can still have even during those times, a sort of "Carpe Diem".
