Materials used: foam board, graphite, bandage, steel nails, red thread.
The collage is influenced by a real story. It depicts a moment and emotions of a dance that appears as a life-saving for a woman after several cancer treatments. The materials used give a link with the surgery, blood, and the belief in God's power
The bandage depicts her dress and gives an idea of the pain because it is a material often used in hospitals after surgeries or other injuries. But its white colour is linked with purity and hope. The nails connected with the red thread symbolize Christ’s pain and the red colour presents the passion of the dance but also blood. The idea for the circles comes from the bug bites on her body which is surprisingly due to the high toxicity in her blood as a result of the chemotherapy treatment. The circle symbolizes the origin of the universe and God and as a shape of nature, it reveals completeness and provokes senses of love and comfort.
