DESCRIPTION
My art combines technology and craftsmanship: when painting, I merge the body gaze into the gestures of drawing, transposing to digital the Suminagashi art. In the age of Artificial Intelligence, I feel the need to reaffirm the intuitive and theatrical origins of human creative processes.
In my latest production I apply Jacques Lecoq's neutral mask method to activate the performative potential of my Plexiglas objects, thanks to the projection of their Simulacra. The result is a filmed performance that show both the role of light in our perception of colors and space and also the emotional connection between music and images interpretation.
NOTES
NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INVOLVED. No filter/visual effects added. The video shows reflections generated by my artwork simply reacting to the sunlight in function of its angle. That is possible thanks to the special technique of realization (Laser, enamels and varnishes on plexiglas).
