The rhythm
of the experimental process of this work allowed me to construct this panel,
rich in details. A meditative relation with the process was absolutelly necessary
to be able to accomplish each step.
A
broken shoelace machine, old and small, was found accidentally in a corner of
the knitting workshop. The most experience senior technician of the workshop
fixed it and put it to work.
It demanded
several hours in total attention to knit this panel in the hand knitting
machines. Manually, row by row, I selected the needles. The final result
finally appeared on the surface of the fabric: the Coral snake skin textures!
COBRA CORAL is one
of the six panels of “A
ÚLTIMA TRIBO” (THE LAST TRIBE) serie.
