In the wake of the war in Ukraine, preserving the country's cultural heritage has emerged as a critical concern. The enemy seeks to obliterate Ukraine's history, art, and architecture, posing a threat to the nation's very identity.
In response to these hostilities, Maria Gavryliuk and Natalia Kamenska created a new collection called Atlases. Drawing inspiration from the architectural marvels of Kyiv, Ukraine's capital city, they incorporated these motifs into their designs. The enigmatic works of Ignatius Kazimirovich Ledokhovsky, particularly the Kozerovsky house on Kostelna Street adorned with Atlases, served as their primary muse.
This silver earrings with gilding Atlas' figure serves as a poignant reflection on the endurance of Ukrainian culture amidst the ravages of war. It underscores the significance of its protection and endeavors to establish and preserve the profound connection between cultural symbols and the national ethos.
