Constructed between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC, "Porta all'arco" served as the primary southern entrance through the city walls of Volterra. Having survived
bombardments, it stands as a symbol of the city and is among the most significant remnants of the Etruscan civilization, inspiring the design of the lamp. "Arch of Light" is crafted from white alabaster: faithful in proportions to the original arch, it features two cylindrical bases merging into a luminous threedimensional
arch. The fusion of classic and contemporary shapes yields an object that is both elegant and minimalist.
The dimensions are 45x45x10, carved from a single block of alabaster by skilled artisans from Volterra, hand-polished, and
fitted with an internal LED. The piece is composed of two slabs originating from the same block of stone, expertly joined in the center to create an invisible seam.
