Elena was born in Moscow. She studied in art school, then took private lessons from Russian artists such as Chehlov V. and Svetlanov M. . After that, she graduated from Russian State University for the Humanities, School of History and Philology.
Painting is her life passion and currently main activity.
She exhibited in Moscow and St. Petersburg at Russian Art Week, Art Portrait Club and St. Petersburg’s Art Week.
In her paintings, the artist tries to show a secret life of nature and objects. If you take a closer look, you may see additional artistic layer: another reality, another life of objects and its history.
In order to create another level of perception, artist is using a technique called – inscribe , object within an object. Just like when we look at the clouds, we see different shapes in them, and the shadows in the foliage of the trees could form in the face of a person.
Although artists have long used the techniques with optical illusions, in this case, the technique is used not for the sake of the optical effect but to reveal the inner world of object and its history.
