Maha Zeibak was born in Athens, Greece in 1979 to Palestinian parents. She has lived in Athens, Boston, New York, Toronto and Dubai.
Maha paints to express and make sense of the world we live in. With a deep interest in
the origins of consciousness, what makes us human, Maha creates art to inspire people to live more harmoniously. She strives to start conversations about how the seemingly disconnected parts of our lives are in fact connected, how each individual human is a soul with potential to impact mankind. The quantum world teaches us that reality is what we choose it to be. Through art, Maha hopes to inspire people to make the most of their realities.
London Fine Art Studios taught her the technical aspects of drawing and oil painting.
While studying at MOMA through Coursera helped Maha develop a deeper understanding of artists’ and designers’ processes, including modes of experimentation and responses to technological innovation. She studied in depth, the materials and techniques of seven New York artists, including Willem de Kooning, Yayoi Kusama, Agnes Martin, Barnett Newman, Jackson Pollock, Ad Reinhardt, and Mark Rothko.
