I grew up in Nanoose Bay and began painting and drawing at a very young age. Throughout the years I always had an interest in art, and was always curious at the challenge of portraiture. In art class, in grade eleven I was assigned to paint a portrait, and already had a vision of painting a rap artist who I was highly influenced by at the time. Since that Portrait he fell in love with painting portraits of those who inspire him, and has been dedicated to painting since 2014. My inspiration has expanded beyond musicians and I now find sparks of interest in philosophical and political ideologies that are represented through the figurative body language of models.
