Ralitsa Yankova was born in a small city in central north Bulgaria next to the Danube river. Throughout her life, Ralitsa has always been fascinated by architecture and design. As someone who is originally from a city with a highly valued university of economy, she graduated BA and MA in International economics and business but parallel with that she completed a few levels of interior design and work with 3D software.
In 2017, she moved to England with her family. A year later she started a BA in Interior architecture and design at the University of Portsmouth and graduated in 2021.
Through the years, Ralitsa participated in several design competitions and also exhibited some of her art and design work at Parallax Art Fair, in London, in 2019.
In 2017, one of her projects was shortlisted for the Creativepool annual awards, in England. The same year, she participated in a Hospital design competition (paediatric clinic), in Bulgaria and her work was featured by Mirage Group (2017) as a great selection of harmless materials and technologies, as well as an appropriate colour palette as a part of the concept development. In 2019, she got an Award from The City Academy Awards with her first year university project "The 21st Century Coffee House". The following year 2020, she was selected by her tutor for the "Women in Property" national student awards, in the UK and was shortlisted and nominated by Bouygues, London for the South-East region.
In 2021, she got a nomination in the "Golden Trezzini Awards" with her graduation design project "Camino". The project and her work were also featured in the biggest Bulgarian newspaper in London - Budilnik (2021).
Currently, Ralitsa lives in Chichester, England, and consider a Ph.D. in Design for Health. She continues her work as an interior designer and from an year as a garden designer too. Her latest interest is in developing a concept for residential humoral gardens for healing.
