Introduction:
I am a painter, an illustrator, and a mosaic worker. I observe daily life and am fascinated by movements and change. By combining abstraction and figuration, my paintings explore the time based reality that we live in. Thus, my work could somehow always be interpreted as chronological narrative of events or emotions. Such methodology is deeply related to my asian background, especially the buddhist education, which believes in time continuity and nothing-ness.
I left home since 18 years old, and became a mother 2 years ago when I was 29. For ten years I was moving around the world, and now I have settled down in southern France. I am now working with the subject "motherhood", more specifically, the "displacement" of it. I conduct interviews with immigrant parents and try to put their present and the past on the same surface.
