I completed my B.A. in Applied Arts from Seoul National University of Science and Technology in Korea in 1994, followed by my M.F.A. in Fine Art from Gachon University in Korea in 1997. In 2015, I came to the United States and spent three and half years studying Digital Arts including Photography, Graphic Design, and Videography at Bakersfield College. I also registered for an M.A. program in Photography at California State University in Fresno to further my artistic vision.
Since 1994, my artworks have been displayed in exhibitions in both Korea and the United States, and I have won numerous awards for my artistic talents.
The concept of my artwork originated from the reminiscences of my previous moments. While I have been living in the U.S. as an immigrant, my desire and longing for my hometown, South Korea, are expressed by my artwork. My memorable experiences have been depicted through background paintings like obscure memories, and the copper wire objects are displayed like myself.
