In painting there are no limits to creativity - and
creativity is a very important part of my life.
Imagination, dreams and spontaneity can be lived out and
united in painting.
Already as a child and teenager I had a creative streak. I
liked to try out different things in the direction of art.
Whether it was the one-year attendance of an acting school,
or in later years the training as make-up artist, parallel to my job in
marketing.
For a few years I worked independently as a make-up artist.
Here it was always fascinating for me that no face was the same and always
individual - and in principle every face was a canvas and after makeup a finished
painting. None resembled the other.
And so it is for me the same with the canvas and the
techniques; although the canvas is always white and seems to be the same, with
the first brush stroke it is already individual and creativity can flow.
From 2017 to 2019 I attended the Painting Academy of Lower
Austria in Stockerau where I graduated in 2019 with Roswitha Eisenbock. This
was a very important step for me, because I got to know many different techniques
and materials to combine and I gained the realization that there are really no
limits in painting and art.
I let every new work come into being. As different as my
works are, so am I. There are days when I really start to paint and many things
happen and develop in a flow. One thing flows into another and results in
something new again, until I stand in front of it and say - this is it.
And then there are phases where the work first happens
exactly in my head before I bring it to the canvas.
I love the difference, no matter if abstract or figurative,
just painted or worked with different techniques, my goal is to create a
work/picture which first of all brings me joy while looking at it, gives me
inspiration, maybe makes me think. If this is the case with me, it is possible
that other people feel the same way – and if so, then I have achieved what I wanted and maybe
it is considered art. That's where I find Pablo Picasso's saying great: "A
painting only has life through the person who looks at it.“
And in fact, in the end, art is only created in the eye of
the beholder.
