Bidushi Thapa is an artist/animator from Nepal with a particular interest in the traditions of miniature painting. Her art practice has always revolved around miniature art. In her works, she is trying to show the significance of miniature art plays to become the most powerful way to share personal experiences. Why does it make us feel nostalgic? Miniature art has a bigger impact on our senses and its tininess has made us indulge and respect the power of its smallness. Her works are the result of her understanding and skills which she has developed through this process and her current surroundings inspired her to come up with the major sources of her ideas. The recent works reflect, from her perspective, on the current (Global Pandemic) issues and struggle that we are dealing with, where everyone has been compelled to stay in quarantine, for our mutual protection.
