Attracted at first by drawing and painting,
sculpture gradually seemed obvious to me. Today I dedicate myself exclusively
to it and it is my complete artistic expression.
My curriculum allowed me the approach of different
techniques and different materials, wood, stone, steel, plaster .... Clay is,
however, my preferred medium.
I love the touch of my hands in the earth, that
magical moment when nothing exists, when everything is to be created.
Clay is
rich, makes nuance possible and allows all expressions.
I am captivated by the human being, by the gestures and attitudes that
escape from it. I observe, dissect each face in order to capture the essential,
the path of life.
I work with or without a model and feed on various photos and art books.
For 3-4 years, I have been applying the raku technique to my new
sculptures.
The chance that arises from this technique at the level of cracks
enriches the faces by marking them randomly. Just like the events that
punctuate each life and that mark us.
