Entela is an artist that discovered her passion for art since the early years of her youth.
Guided by this passion she started collecting different art works from artists around the world, as she travelled for work. In fact, her dream was to open an Art Gallery, where she can bring to the public eye many artists from around the world. Only in the recent years she discovered her talent for painting, and that passion has brought her to a brand-new world, that she discovers with excitement.
Originally from Albania, she studied Biology at the university of Elbasan. Immediately after she decided to pursue her studies of Communication Science in Italy, at the University of Bologna, where she also decided to establish.
In the last 20 years Entela has been travelling, working and living in Europe, Africa, North America, Caribbean and Latin America, pursuing a career in the development and humanitarian sector.
The last 10 years she has been working in Haiti and Caribbean surroundings. She is actually the Director of a non-profit institution in Haiti, directing interventions of humanitarian response and development programs.
As a painter, she works mainly with Acrylic and pastels, but sometimes with oil as well. Canvas is her favorite base of work, as it can be soft and versatile.
She prefers unframed canvas, as the process of framing it gives the sense of bringing it to life.
She likes to discover other mediums as well, so in the near future is planning to experiment some other types of Art work, however painting remains the favorite absolute.
She is very much inspired, fascinated and passionate of the Haitian woodou, and of all mistic beliefs and traditions in Africa. The practices, the beliefs, the stories behind the voudou, the spirituality, the mysticism, the magic world of woodou. It is not only a religion, is the Art of living.
