Chili Seitz is fascinated by immaterial, inconspicuous processes and how little they are noticed - although we are comprehensively involved in them. Conceptual works develop these relationships through installations, photographs, public space, and the classic media of sculpture and drawing. Process-oriented, site-specific and preferably in-situ, these artistic instruments uncover views that are hidden by our imaginations. It is essential that her art makes suggestions to be allowed to take on new perspectives. She suggests hoisting flags for the territory of the sky, regarding borders as horizons, creating views or reclaiming one's own prospects.
Since 2012 her work is shown national and international. She won several prizes, grants and residencies and stayed in Scotland, Iceland, Denmark and Norway. She won several prizes for art in public space as the three sculptures "funken" in front of the Federal Office for Building and Spatial Affairs in Berlin, as well as the sculpture "picture.This" in Sonderborg, Denmark, just to name two. Her work is in collections of different Museums and recently you can download the App SJÜÜN AR for free. A artwork in collaboration with the Sylt Museum.
