Cazanga

I am a Brazilian artist, born and raised in Brasília, a city built from the ground to be Brazil's political capital city. To live in the political capital of a country with so much corruption and inequality affected my living undeviatingly. Therefore, historical and political issues became the axis of my work. 

My first group exhibition took place in 1991, while I was still a university student. Over my university years, I took countless visual arts subjects and in 1998 I received my B.A. in Advertising. Since then, I have experimented with diverse mediums, such as painting, photography, sculpture, site-specific, and participated in several group and individual exhibitions.
