I'm a self-taught painter.
I have an ardent and versatile spirit, which finds its most fluid expressiveness in abstract art.
Scientific training (I'm a medical doctor) initially kept me away from the creative spark that distinguishes me. I started painting after the age of 30 and reached my most characteristic trait towards 46.
Intolerant of every kind of technique and rule, I throw my colors on the canvas, leaving myself mostly to be surprised by what comes to life under my spatula or my brush, so that it is primarly my free and volcanic instinct to dominate every millimeter of weave and beyond.
I try to transfuse intensity, bursting and spontaneity into colors and materials, which I often leave opulent on the canvas… hoping that above all beauty and emotion come out from my works, more than any hidden meaning.
