Priyanka Roopnarain was born in Durban, South Africa on March 27th 1998. She enrolled at Durban Girls' College from 2003 and matriculated in 2015. It was through pursuing art as an elective in high school where she was allowed to nurture her art, being exposed and encouraged to experiment with a variety of mediums. She then pursued architecture at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2016, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Architecture.
Illustration and collage art has been the main mediums she has focused on and produced, often experimenting with abstract painting. The collage art explores many themes, primarily disillusionment, retrofuturism and social commentary and juxtapositions while her focus on abstract art explores colour and the emotional weight a different colour brings to a canvas thus expressing human emotions through its design.
