Carlotta Roda was born on May 1, 1999 in Erba, in the province of Como. After graduating from linguistic high school, she decided to study at the IED in Milan and graduated in photography.
With the camera she feels the need to search for meanings beyond evidence and she uses photography as an abstraction from reality and evocation of imaginary realities, as an infinite universe of research. Her photographic research focuses above all on the clash between light and darkness: she celebrates the wonder that the night hours can offer, creating fascination in the viewer in discovering how much light there is in the darkness. Through her work she explores the darkness, always seeking to discover more, pushing the boundaries of mystery and the dark. Focusing on both the intimate and the grandiose, she seeks to provide an escape, helping people recapture dreamscapes by providing a unique and powerful perspective on the everyday.
