THE HIDDEN SIDE OF COLOR
ARTIST STATEMENT
Roberto Sayas is a kinetic professional artist.
Based at Lima, Peru.
Every work guide through a series of chromatic
time-space events that inspire life.
Color is magical.
Each work has the intention to engage visually and
emotionally with the observer.
He has eight years working around this subject.
Colorful paintures, collages. Mathematical, precise and symmetrical sculptures,
goes around ancestral, cultural, landscapes and geometric themes.
Wood, mdf, acrylic, canvas, epoxic resin, are his
favourite materials. The aerographic painture is a precise and neat technique
to his means.
This allows him to build some structures to support
planes, volumes and 3D effects. His goal is to create a colorful gradient
effect over support.
Color is mysterious.
Sometimes you will perceive it as it is (for real),
other times, like it seems to be. Sometimes, some hues are absent from the
support.
He approaches to color from his Venezuelan and
Peruvian heritance. Under a diligent craftmanship.
He applies golden proportions ratios to resembles
the harmonic aspects of nature. Fostering ludicrous, vivid and harmonic
experiences over dramatic pictoric proposals.
The hidden side of color. Synthetize the discrete relationship that arises
between the artwork and its surroundings.
The artwork becomes a lively experience. It enchants
and transforms the days of who contemplates it.
Each work is unique and original, it is delivered
signed.
