Christine Rechnitzer,
born in 1968 in Vienna, Austria, is a visual artists of figurative and
non-figurative art and art therapist. She lives and paints in
Burgenland, Austria.
„It's
always fascinating to have a blank canvas in front of me and to
dedicate myself to creating a work with all my creative being.
Joyfully immersing myself in a state without time and space - that is pure pleasure and fulfillment at the same time“, she says.
This
devotion is reflected in her figurative and abstract paintings, which
primarily aim to please the viewer. She receives and generates creative
energy and transmits this energy to her paintings which then communicate
very directly to the viewer. Sometimes at second or third glance.”
In
addition to the conventional materials, she uses coffee, salt and silk
and nail polish in her artworks. Her work can be described as
communicative, energetic, impulsive, multi-layered, vibrant and colorful
Ever
since she was a child she loved to paint and draw and had fun
expressing myself and letting off steam creatively in a variety of
ways. „I showed my little works to every visitor, clipped to the
clothesline in our garage. That was so much fun!“, she says.
At the invitation of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, she was a guest student in his master class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Overall she considers herself as self taught artist.
After
more than 20 successful years in the pharmaceutical industry and in
international retail, the path led her back to work creatively in
Interior Design.
The
desire, almost the urge, to express her creativity again with visual
arts awoke during the lockdown phases of 2020 and since then painting
has been a constant and most important part of her life.
Christine
believes that everyone has a creative potential and that sometimes the
ability to express oneself creatively is burried. In her CreARTivity
workshops students can rediscover and reconnect with their innate
creativity. This project is very close to her heart.
