LIVES AND WORKS
LIVES AND WORKS
DATE OF BIRTH
The desire to make a career in the field of Art was my conscious choice; therefore, learning and development in the creative sphere has become my personal continuous process.
My first education is Fine Art at the university of Russia- Kuban State University (2010-2015) where I gained Specialist Degree and my main profession as a Teacher of Art. This educational process was based on a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge in the disciplines of Art and practical skills of working with different art materials.
In my profession as a teacher of Fine Arts, I should take into consideration a lot of details. When I felt that I had accumulated a certain level of knowledge and interpreted it from my point of view, I was curious to share it with others and to see whether or not people are keen on what I do, what I’m interested in. As a result, experience as a teacher in kindergarten. On the one hand it helped me to realize that if you are confident about what you do and do it with pleasure, your work will definitely deserve response and interest in others (that’s why I really love what I’m doing). On the other hand, it taught me to work in a multitasking setting, because in addition to job responsibilities I continued to learn and improve myself, as one of the main features of my character is to undertake things well and put all my abilities into the effort.
Therefore, I began to understand the responsibility compared to the things I did, as well as the fact that if there is a chance to try something new for my benefit, I need to catch this opportunity, otherwise I might not get it later. At that period I was curious about computer graphic and illustration, so my next official job position was Junior Designer Illustrator in a big computer company from Ukraine (Plarium).
But after some time I was fascinated by the way how a work of art can be modified by the idea initially nested in it (not attached to it separately), changed from the purposes to which it can serve and for whom it was actually designed. The fact that art can not only serve for decoration, but also play a functional role was a discovery for me. I can not imagine my life without creative work as well as without a responsible approach to creation, so I was curious to explore more seriously the matter of creating not just an object, but the product. Therefore, I decided to try a short training course and than a Master course of Italian Product Design in the Istituto Marangoni in Italy. It was a completely new stage for me. I was attracted to the way how design is based on the experience of the past, but at the same time it reflects your way of thinking, your own vision and personality.
After the Master course, I started to work on freelance, trying to find my voice in personal works. And now for Art pieces I'm experimenting in combine my knowledges both in Art and Product Design. I create my works in a colourful and bright manner on the wood, as it's easy to get the shape and feel portrayed object in comparison with canvas.
For years of my strict education system I was faced with problem when Art in mind of other people is only something complicated. I also agree with this opinion on 50% but for me it relates mainly to Art of the past. Art of the future instead, become a kind of fast-consuming: tastes of people can depend from fashion, without real understanding of context. And my works represent the time, when people overloaded with tonnes of informational garbage, but still have in their memory history, from where everything was started; some psychological comfort zone. It can be matter of fashion but not an impact; it is a natural feeling of roots which must be recognized.
I wish in the future my Art will be readable as an Art of 21 century.
