Hi.. I’m Pamela originally from a small town called Bukit Mertajam in the state of Penang also known as “The Food Haven”.
Although my passion was to pursue arts when I was younger, but I was not given a chance to go to any Art School. I ended up pursuing a Business Degree which my dad enrolled me in.
After graduating in business, I literally worked for a short 2 years in factory and banking line which I felt quite lost in what I'm doing. I decided to quit my job and take a break to figure out what I want in my working life as what I'm doing earlier didn't bring purpose and satisfaction. Since, kids are drawn to me , I decided teaching is the job that I should be doing and I apply to be an art teacher.
I have been teaching Art to kids and teens for 10 years now :) . Although I was teaching the whole time, I didn't have time to do my own leisure painting. It was all planning, teaching and working on school events throughout my teaching career.
Only in 2016, I started picking up my brush to paint again because at that point I was a part time teacher and I wanted to earn by doing some art side jobs. In fact, I started with making and selling desserts but it was too stressful. I ended up choosing to do art as well for my side income.
In 2016, I was given the opportunity to join an Art Exhibition during the Alpha course at DUMC church. It was my first time joining an art exhibition and I was very thrilled.
In 2017, I was given another opportunity to exhibit my artwork at ARTReach organized by Acts Church.
However, something happened to me in 2018 and I was demotivated and stopped my small greeting card business entirely for a few years.
During the pandemic I lost my teaching job that time and this has made me start over again to paint , make and sell my greeting cards. I also started to paint and make scarves to sell.

This year, I also have the opportunity to exhibit my artwork during Arts & Music festival at Campus Rangers International School.
Thank you for the opportunity to join this community , although I'm just a tiny ant and have so much to learn from many of you.
