Born in Nairobi, Kenya, I am the eldest among four siblings. I have 3 sisters and sadly my brother is no longer with us. Raised by parents who were both accomplished medical professionals, I had the privilege of receiving an excellent education.
My educational journey led me to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree . Subsequently, I embarked on a professional path in Human Resources management, achieving level 7 in CIPD exams. This laid the foundation for my extensive 25-year career in Human Resources management.
My life has been a whirlwind of cultural experiences, having called Kenya, Canada, South Africa, India, the UK, and now Germany, my home at various points in my journey.
Although my parents initially steered me toward the sciences for a secure future, my passion for art always simmered beneath the surface. As a child, one of my most cherished Christmas gifts was the book "The Story of Art" by E.H. Gombrich, which ignited my artistic curiosity.
Fast forward more than four decades, and I found myself grappling with mental health challenges that led me to therapy. As part of this therapeutic journey, I underwent Ergotherapy, a means to creatively express emotions through art. I delved into painting, pottery, woodwork, and other forms of creative expression, finding solace and a meditative quality in each stroke and creation.
My artistic journey began with repurposing discarded glass and transformed into a mission to breathe new life into forgotten paintings. Not only did this bring me personal fulfillment, but it also aligned with my deep commitment to environmental conservation. By recycling acrylic glass and giving new purpose to neglected artwork, I play a small yet meaningful role in reducing landfill waste and curbing pollution.
My aspiration is to share affordable and eco-friendly avenues for creative expression, guiding others to discover inner peace and self-discovery through art. I'm not just an artist; I'm a globetrotter with a passion for art and a mission to make the world a bit more beautiful and sustainable, one stroke at a time.
