Gerhard explores the dialogue between inner growth and artistic expression. Driven by curiosity about nature and science, his work spans sculpture, wall art, collages, and installations. Many creations evolve over years, sometimes decades, until a new stage of personal insight reveals their completion. He often works with recycled materials.
With over 30 years in creative industries, Gerhard has worked internationally as a chocolate artist, Master Chocolatier and product developer in R&D for a corporation.
He also holds a diploma in sculpting from the Masterclasses of Art & Design in Graz, Austria. His practice embraces diverse materials, including bronze, aluminium, wood, resin, mixed media, and chocolate.
Gerhard established, as a pioneer, chocolate crystals as an art medium (f.e. the series “33 chocolate planets”), where science meets naturally grown design.
His portfolio reflects technical mastery and a continuous journey of discovery - where each artwork embodies a moment of transformation.
