I was born in Fano. I graduated as a Master
from the "Fanum Fortunae" State Institute of Art in Fano. In the
1960s, I moved to Milan to continue my studies at the Brera Academy of Fine
Arts, situated in the heart of that vibrant, free, and non-conformist Milan of
those years. I shared the art scene with numerous artists, including Enrico Baj
and Pierre Corneille, who frequented the neighborhood favored by many of them.
It was a golden decade for art, music, fashion, design, and the zest for life.
In 1974, I won the 1st National Prize "Curzio Malaparte" in Florence.
In 1975, I held my first solo exhibition titled "Lines &
Portraits" at the Guelfa Gallery in Florence. The paintings, which were
highly personal and autonomous, manifested to the observer in a broad spectrum
oscillating between visionary and expressionist figuration, with some
surrealistic influences. My references were the masters Hieronymus Bosch, Dalí,
and Max Ernst.
In 1977, I moved to Rome, where I attended the "P. Sharoff" Academy
of Dramatic Art. My encounter with the famous gallerist F. Vigo immediately
established a strong bond of friendship and art, which allowed me to exhibit at
her "Numero" gallery in Rome, a cultural reference point among
internationally renowned artists.
In 1981, I returned definitively to Milan.
In 1991, I won the 1st Prize "Pisarum d'oro" in an international
painting competition at the International Academy of Fine Arts in Fano.
In 1991, I was appointed "Academic" at the International Academy of
Fine Arts in Fano.
In the years that followed, through multimedia events and installations, my
paintings maintained the style of mental and fantastical imagery. I delved into
theater, multimedia events, and installations, continuing my journey towards a
spiritualistic dimension. This led me to express, through journeys of the
psyche, a bridge between metaphor, analogy, and latency: attributes to keep in
mind when interpreting my works, which tell the story of all people, the
history of relationships, the inner poetry of life.
My works are primarily found in private collections in Italy, France, Germany,
Australia, and the US.
