ARTIST STATEMENT
ARTIST
I started with oil painting, and have now shifted to using mixed media. I love to experiment: the joy and energy of working with them are critical to everything I do.
An essential component of my visual art is the creation of different levels of meaning: emotional, figurative, metaphorical, symbolic, and philosophical, among others.
I appreciate when text can add its own value to a work, instead of merely explaining the visual.
For the last several years, I have tried various combinations of painting, video, statistical data, ready-made objects, live substances, recycling art, Paintings_Dresses, VR and performative sand art at the seashore.
My themes multiply and unfold in different ways. I search for connections to the past, the present and the future; mythology, human feelings, discoveries and new journeys, new worlds and planets, and the beauty of nature revealing in detail.
RESEARCHER
Some of my research is visual and could be parts of/or the whole art projects.
The themes of my academic research are related to art as a form of communication, creativity and novel approaches in design, advertising and PR, art collaborations of different kinds and all types of communicational languages.
