Colors have always been important to me and I discovered my love for painting when I was 14. My style is a mixture of impressionism and naive art. Art has been my way to survive when I have had difficult times in my life. I like to combine my own poems with my paintings, tell unique stories, and reach deep emotions that can only be told with the language of art. While being an artist is a difficult tug-of-war between my inner dreamer and critic, in my opinion, this process gives a lot more than it takes. It hasn't just taught me much about the world, but also about myself.
Fairytales and stories have always been important to me. This is why I like to bring a spark of magic to my works. Even when I'm portraying ordinary objects or scenery, there is always this special lens that shows everyday life can be just as magical. I have been loyal to my own style which I found when I first started painting in junior high. My works are a mixture of impressionism and naive art. The works of Claude Monet are my inspiration and at the beginning of my career, I imitated his way of painting and slowly sifted toward my own style.
I created my paintings in a situation of uncertainty. I just graduated from the university and my life is full of questions. What next? Where should I aim for? The world is open and I have nothing to lose. Painting is my anchor, a steady rock that I can stand on.
I believe there are emotions and stories that can only be told with the universal language of art. The beauty of nature and the light around us is something I want to convey to the audience.
