Sandra
Carola Numberger’s interest in Art started as early as in 1985 being influenced
strongly from „Der Blaue Reiter“(The Blue Rider). Experimenting with oil and
varnish-based colours on different material and using a wide variety of self-taught
techniques, her Art has over the years matured both on the canvas and her sculptures.
Using and Re-using Material in a non-conventional way, she does not only care
for the environmental issues, but she surprises her public by making a
statement that things are not always what they seem.
The first exhibition
took place in 2001 and ever since she holds exhibitions on an annual basis. As
her strongest wish is to bring Art to the wider public not trusting itself to
visit the galleries, she keeps her profile modest and her Art accessible to
all. Her works decorate companies, offices and homes in Germany, Switzerland,
Greece, Oman and the United States.
Sandra Carola
Numberger’s Art could be nothing else but abstract. Refusing to shrink into
narrow social norms, she expresses herself through her Art. In a time where
communication has become cheap and superficial, through the surplus of means such
as mobile phones, internet, chat applications, video sites, where human
relationships and feelings become meaningless, emotionless blocks of messages, repeatedly
thrown at each other in the form of abbreviations, smilies and videos, the Art
of Sandra Carola Numberger liquefies forms and shapes, frees itself from social
boundaries and shifts to a non-structural world, where emotions and ideas
communicate through the mixture of colours and fantasy. The viewer is free to
experience Art in his primal state, his lucid heart.
