Nishimura

Born in 1984, Japan.  BA in 2007, Information design, Tama Art University, Tokyo.  Lives and works in Chiba, Japan. After studying and working in the information design field, she self-taught the basic skills of hand-weaving. She focuses on the act of creating matter itself, through the various processes of weaving, painting, and shaping. By retracing the traces of her own weaving, she engages in a quiet and interactive dialogue between her past and present selves, and the materials in front of her.
