Arianna Niero, born in Tradate (VA) in 1970, Virgo with Scorpio rising.
She has been working in communication for 25 years: born and raised copywriter and creative, for many international advertising agencies, she covered the role of Creative Director for 15 years. Compulsive reader, she has always approached writing in different ways but for the last 7 years she has focused on poetry as her chosen form of art and expression, in addition to another passion she has been developing since she was a child: embroidery.
So that’s how her artistic project was born: Poesie d’Amore (su Tela) – Love Poems (on Canvas).
In 2018 she presented her solo exhibition at the Libreria Hoepli in Milan.
On the 21th of march 2019, ‘World Poetry Day,’ the stuff of Libreria Hoepli was wearing her poem embroideredrobes.
Twice the same year (in may and november) she participated to the creative project ‘MarkeTeam Maroncelli Discrict’, with Le nozze di Bacco e Arianna (The marriage of Bacchus and Ariadne), Bellezza al Bagno (Bathing Beauty), Letto con Amore (Read with Love) e Amore di Contrabbando (Smuggling Love) which provided her the beloved definition of ‘Textile Poetess’.
Moreover in june 2019 she was invited as a guest at Festival Dell’Amore (Festival of Love) by the creators Franco Bolelli e Manuela Mantegazza, at the Triennale Museum in Milan.
In dicember the same year she was featured on the Arts and Culture section of Corriere della sera, with a full page interview.
In January 2020 she was featured on another publication ViviMilano.
The same month she created in collaboration with Borseggi – the sartorial proposal of Milano Opera prison – the project Pizzini d’Amore (in Italian Pizzino means small slips of paper used by the Sicilian Mafia for high-level communications): 10 small Tibetan bags with an embroidered poem inside. The project was premiered at the WriterFestival at Frigoriferi Milanesi.
What’s next: a new exhibition at Biblioteca Zara (Milan) and a solo exhibition at Museo della Poesia in Piacenza.
