POLYMORPHOUS PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTIST...
ANIMAL . NATURE . CONTEMPORARY . PORTRAIT
Art is an infinite field of exploration...
Photography came into my life in 1993 during my 1st year of applied arts in Lyon.
It was a passion that I pursued in parallel with my work as a decorator and designer,
which I've been doing since 1999.
In 2018, the turning point.
I moved to Guadeloupe, in the French West Indies.
Solitude - Isolation - Contemplation - Introspection
3 years of photographic wanderings with light, nature and emotions as raw materials.
(Self) exploration - (Self) development.
My curiosity leads me to explore very eclectic artistic fields through different
photographic techniques.
At the end of 2021, I'll be back in mainland France with 6 major collections, each consisting of 1 or 2 series.
I'm becoming more professional, deepening my knowledge, committing myself and sharing my values and convictions.
The protection of nature, the animal cause, the unvarnished expression of emotions in reaction to consumerism,
greed and hypernarcissism.
My contemporary series "Abrasion" , Light - Colour - Earth and Sea, produced using a mixed technique, camera settings and digital art, breaks down the spectrum of light reflected from the surface of water into a series of colours.
the light spectrum reflected on the surface of the water in different places and at different times of the year.
in different places and at different times of the year.
This series sounds like an expression of the beauty of nature confronted with its gruesome destruction.
Committed to the animal cause, my "Endangered Species" series highlights wild animals that are victims of trafficking and abuse.
victims of trafficking and mistreatment, taken in by the Tonga Terre d'Accueil association, which I
which I support through my work.
A 10% commission on my print sales is donated to the association.
My discovery of the Caravaggesque school during my studies had a major impact on my visual language.
The chiaroscuro achieved by adjusting the camera body is like an oxymoron,
like an oxymoron, underlining the precarious and fragile existence of animal species that are symbols of power and on the way to extinction.
All my prints are made by OOblik, Claire Morin and Marc Tallec,
artisans in Sully, Burgundy, France, on Hahjnemüehle Fine Art 290g paper.
The "Abrasion" series is available as four-colour digital prints on transparent plexiglass,
printed by Artamis in St Genis Laval, France.
