Andrea del Garbo was born in Bologna (Italy). He attended his university studies at the DAMS of Bologna and at the Université Denis Diderot - Paris 7, focusing on essai cinema with a thesis on Jean-Luc Godard. After completing his studies, he trained as a visual artist, first approaching the photographic medium through which he began an aesthetic quest aimed at investigating places and forms to capture their timeless, pure essence. Later, the artist starts to create some visual contaminations (called 'still metamorphoses') in order to create a new strange reality that upsets the normal point of view on things. At the same time, he started working as a video artist. This leads to the creation of some works oriented to produce a sort of artistic syncretism in which the Apollonian dimension of the image and the Dionysian dimension of sound, dialectically clashing, finally merge into a single new indissoluble language.
In 2020 he exhibited at Internationart in Venice (Ca’ Zanardi). In 2022 he is published on 'Art Hole Magazine UK' and on ‘Artists For Plants’. He currently lives and works in Paris.
