Cecilia Maran was born in Padua in 1997. She graduated from the High School of Human Sciences Amedeo di Savoia Duca d'Aosta of Padua
and she attended the harp course until the seventh year at the Conservatory of Music in Venice; she then enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, obtaining the Second Level Diploma in Engraving Techniques - Art Graphics in October 2021. During her artistic career she approaches a decidedly abstract style, often using experimental techniques, maintaining as fundamental themes of her research the elements that recall the natural.
She participates and exhibits her engravings at various exhibitions in Italy (Vicenza, Treviso, Padua, Venice, Genoa) and abroad, in Portugal. She takes part in the charity auction organized by AVAPO Venice, in collaboration with Christie's and the charity auction Art's Angels by the DOMNA and Jeos associations, aimed at supporting women victims of discrimination and violence.
She wins the third prize in the Engravings section on the occasion of the Art Expression exhibition (Novara) and she gets the second place at the Premio Rotary Arte e Cultura 2020. She is selected among the top 40 engravings at the Festival Internazionale di Incisione Contemporanea 2020 in Trento.
She collaborates in the preparation of some installations on the occasion of La Biennale di Architettura 2021. She is one of the selected artist of the Ilaria Ciardi 2021 Award, and she exhibits at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna, on the occasion of the award ceremony.
She exhibits some of her engravings and paintings on the occasion of the Effervescentia personal exhibition in Rome in May 2021 and, subsequently, Mare Superum in Venice in July 2021, on the occasion of the inauguration of the MovingLab Venice headquarters. In December 2021 she exhibits at the Looking for Art art gallery in Milan during her solo exhibition Marosee.
She carries out her artistic activity in her atelier in Padua.
